Why recharge and purify lithotherapy stones?

The stones used in lithotherapy have the particularity of absorbing part of the energy that surrounds them. They can thus capture the negative energy present in their environment, whether it comes from people, objects or even places. However, this absorption of negative energy can affect the effectiveness of the stones, decreasing their vibrational quality and limiting their therapeutic power. It is therefore necessary to carry out their energetic cleansing regularly to maintain an optimal energy level.

When to recharge lithotherapy stones?

The ideal time to recharge  crystal healing stones depends on several factors, including your personal needs, how you use the stones, and your intuition. Here are some common occasions when you might consider recharging your stones:

     After use: After using a stone in lithotherapy work, it is generally recommended to recharge it. The stones absorb surrounding energies, and after a session they may be depleted or saturated with unwanted energies. Recharge them to prepare them for next use.

     At regular intervals: Some people recharge their stones at regular intervals, such as once a month, to maintain optimal energy. This can be particularly helpful if you regularly wear lithotherapy stone jewelry or use them frequently in your meditation practices.

     Based on intuition: You can also recharge your stones when your intuition tells you they need it. If you feel that a stone's energy is low or unbalanced, this is a sign that it needs to be recharged.

     At energetically significant times: Some practitioners choose to recharge their stones during energetically significant times, such as phases of the moon (full moon, new moon), equinoxes, or solstices. These moments can reinforce the energy of recharge.

     Before Specific Work: If you intend to use a stone for a specific job or purpose, you can recharge it so that it is aligned with that intention before you begin.

     When stones show signs of imbalance: If you notice changes in the appearance or behavior of your stones, such as a lack of luster, color or feel, this may be a sign that they need to be be recharged.

Ultimately, there are no hard and fast rules as to when exactly you should recharge your stones. Listen to your intuition and respond to the needs of your stones based on your own practice and personal feelings. The more you work with lithotherapy stones, the more you will develop a sense of their energy and know when they need to be purified and recharged.

How to purify lithotherapy stones?

There are several methods of purifying lithotherapy stones, and the choice of method often depends on the nature of the stone and your personal preferences. Here are some commonly used methods to purify stones:

     Clean water: You can rinse your stones under clean water, preferably distilled water or spring water. Make sure the water is at room temperature. Gently run the stone under water while visualizing any negative or unwanted energies flowing out of the stone. This method is suitable for most stones, but some, like selenite, are sensitive to water, so avoid submerging them.

     Salt water: You can immerse your stones in lightly salted water for a while. Use non-iodized sea salt or Himalayan salt. (1-2 pinch of salt per liter of water) After soaking, be sure to rinse the stones well with clean water to remove the salt, as it can damage some stones.

     Fumigation: Pass your stones through the sacred smoke of white sage, Palo Santo or other purifying herbs. Light the smoke using a match or candle and allow the smoke to envelope the stones for a few minutes.

     Earth: Bury your stones in the earth for a few hours or overnight. Earth is considered a gentle way to purify stones, and it connects them to Mother Earth.

     Sound: Some practitioners use Tibetan bowls or other sound instruments to purify their stones. Vibrate sound around the stones to remove unwanted energies.

It is important to note that not all stones support the same purification methods. For example, water can damage porous stones like calcite or selenite. Before purifying a stone, make sure you know its composition and specific purification needs.

How to recharge lithotherapy stones?

Recharging lithotherapy stones is an important step in restoring their energy and preparing them for use again. Here are some commonly used methods for recharging stones:

Exposure to sunlight

Place your stones outside in direct sunlight for a few hours. The sun is a powerful source of energy that can revitalize your stones. However, some stones, like amethyst, can fade in the sun, so be sure to check if your specific stone can be exposed to sunlight.

Exposure to lunar light:

The moonlight is soft and soothing. You can place your stones outside during a full moon night to recharge them. This is a method particularly suited to stones linked to intuition and feminine energy. This method is particularly suitable for stones sensitive to sunlight.

Quartz or rock crystal cluster:

Place your stones on a quartz or rock crystal cluster for several hours or overnight. Quartz crystals have the ability to cleanse and recharge other stones with their pure energy. They also need to be purified and recharged regularly, as they also absorb surrounding energies.

Earth element:

Bury your stones in the earth for a few hours or overnight to connect them to the energy of Mother Earth and recharge them. As you place the stone in the earth, focus on your intention. Visualize the energy of Mother Earth enveloping the stone and recharging it with pure, revitalizing energies.

This complete kit contains: a “Flower of Life” reloading plate + approximately 50g of rock crystal tumbled stones + a carrying pouch.

How to use it ? It's easy :

     Place the “Flower of Life” reloading disc in a place with good natural light, such as a window sill for example.
     Take the rock crystal tumbled stones out of the pouch, then run them under tap water for a few seconds. Dry them using a clean cloth, then place them on the “Flower of Life” reloading disc. Your purification and recharging kit is now ready.
     Choose the tumbled stone or lithotherapy jewel that you wish to purify and recharge, then place it delicately on the purification and recharging kit (proceed with 1 variety of stone or 1 jewel at a time).
     Leave it like this for approximately 2 to 3 hours.
     So ! Your stones (or your jewelry) have been purified and recharged. You will be able to feel their energy like the first day!
