Although the difference is not very important, one can give a slight advantage to the incense stick because it handles and lights up more easily and quickly than the cone. It is also easier to turn off if you feel that the scent is sufficiently noticeable in the room.
Now let's see the power and authenticity of the scents diffused. Again, the match is tight but it is the incense cone that marks the point. Indeed, an incense cone weighs significantly heavier than a stick but burns at about the same speed. It therefore diffuses a more powerful, more concentrated scent, which can spread in very large rooms, and even be clearly perceptible outside.
Another advantage is that the incense cone contains only pure and natural incense, while the stick contains a thin bamboo stalk around which the frankincense powder is glued, with an aromatic resin. This results in a slightly more authentic scent for the cone than for the stick, because for the second, the combustion of the bamboo stem slightly modifies the original scent of the incense.
Our advice: despite this slight advantage for the incense cone regarding the quality and power of the scents, we recommend that you prefer incense sticks to perfume small rooms of less than 15m2.
