How to make your bowl sing
Sit in a comfortable position and place the bowl in the palm of your outstretched left hand if you're right-handed, and vice versa if you're left-handed. Your fingers should not touch the edges of the bowl, so as not to block the sound. Hold the stick (or mallet) by the thinnest part and make the bowl ring by gently striking the stick against the edge of the bowl.
Another method is to make the bowl sing by rotating the mallet against and around its rim, which requires a certain amount of pressure during the movement. This method is recommended for more experienced players.
All the body's organs are located in the palm of the hand. For this reason, making the bowl sing there maximizes its effects.
