For novices, amateurs and experienced musicians.
Sometimes called Yidaki, Mago, Didjeridoo, Djubini, Gamalag, Ganbag... depending on its shape, style and sound, the didgeridoo is a wind instrument invented by the Australian Aborigines. Its easily recognizable vibratory sound has made it an instrument appreciated by musicians the world over, who must master the circular breathing technique (known as continuous breathing) to exploit all the facets of their instrument.
The Didgeridoo is also appreciated as a decorative object: generally made of wood or bamboo, it is often decorated with typical Aboriginal "Dot Painting" motifs, giving it a unique and delightfully exotic aesthetic.
