Wood
Carved or painted wood
Native to East and South Asia, the silk tree was imported in theeighteenth century by an Italian naturalist who was seduced by the beauty of this delicate tree. Appreciated for its vaporous flowers whose silky appearance has earned it its name of silk tree.
This tree, now widespread on 5 continents, is very resistant to drought. It grows fast and therefore does not impoverish the soil.
Our hand-carved and hand-painted wooden items usually come from this tree which is called albizia. Our artisan friends use it because it is an easy wood to work with. It is through this wood that all the charm of Balinese craftsmanship spreads. Our decorative objects are decorated with various shapes, patterns and colors to enhance your living room.

Wood care
Wood is a material that lasts over time but still requires regular maintenance.
It is broken down into 3 steps:
- Dusting with a soft cloth.
- Cleaning with turpentine (a colourless essential oil that removes dirt from the wood's surface).
- And finally, nourish the wood with a natural wax to revive its colors.
