Kunzite in lithotherapy

Kunzite is a stone with a remarkable color. Its very soft pink colour invites tenderness and love. However, this can vary, ranging from pure pale pink to very slightly purplish. Its colour variations depend on its manganese content.

The history of this stone is relatively recent: it was only in 1902 that it was discovered by an American geologist. Initially confused with pink tourmaline because of its color, lithotherapists only began to take a real interest in this gem in the 1970s.

Like quartz, kunzite is sensitive to heat and light. Its color intensifies when it's hot. On the contrary, be careful not to expose it to the sun for too long as it may become paler and paler.

Virtues and benefits of Kunzite

Kunzite is the "zen" stone par excellence. Known for its soothing and calming properties, it is said to better control one's emotions and soothe emotional wounds of the past. It is also said to help adults and children relax and concentrate to help restore self-confidence.

On a physical level, this stone is said to aid digestion and calm digestive disorders as well as migraines and neck pain due to blood pressure. Kunzite is known to be effective against addictions to alcoholism and smoking. It would then provide courage and strength to fight against these forms of addiction.

How do I purify and recharge Kunzite?

To continue to benefit from the benefits and virtues of a stone, purification and recharging are two important steps.

Purification of kunzite is rarely necessary because it absorbs only a small amount of negative energies. About once a month is enough, even if you handle it very often.  To do this, simply immerse your kunzite in water (demineralized and slightly salty) for 2 to 3 hours. You can also proceed with purification by fumigation.

To help it regain its full energy potential, remember to recharge it as well. Place it in the light of the moon for an entire night, or on a cluster of rock crystal or amethyst.

Kunzite and Astrology

Kunzite is particularly recommended for Gemini and Capricorn natives.

Kunzite and Chakras

The action of kunzite is mainly done at the level of the 3rd eye chakra and the 4th chakra (the heart chakra), which is the center of unconditional love, joy, tenderness...
