Loose powder or compact powder, which one to choose?

Not all powders are suitable for all skin types. Before choosing, make sure you know your skin type: dry, sensitive, or combination to oily.

Compact powder: the ally of dry or mature skin

We advise dry or mature skin to adopt the compact powder, Unlike the loose powder, the compact powder does not contain talc, so it deposits less material and will mark less fine lines and wrinkles, or marks of dryness.

Loose powder to mattify oily skin

Drier and mattifying, the loose powder absorbs more excess sebum, so it will be your ally to keep a fresh and mat complexion all day long. Our loose powders are non-comedogenic, so they won't give you blemishes.

How do I choose the right color for my skin tone?

At Cocopapaya you don't have to choose between dozens of references! Three shades are available in the loose powder range: light sand, sand and medium beige, from the lightest to the darkest! Three shades are also available in the compact powder range: Fair, Porcelain, and Sand, always from the lightest to the darkest. Tip: if you simply want to mattify your face, opt for the shade that most closely matches your skin tone, for a healthy glow effect, opt for a darker shade!

How to apply it?

Whatever powder is used, you must apply it on a liquid texture such as a foundation, a BB cream or a moisturizer , so that it can adhere well to your skin and hold throughout the day. Use a wide kabuki style brush, starting with the T zone, apply your powder from the center to the outside of the face. For a healthy glow, apply the powder in a 3 from the temples to finish on the lower face. You can also apply your powder with the beauty blender by tapping in small touches. To sculpt your face, try the contouring technique which, by playing with the light, allows you to highlight certain areas and camouflage others!
