Traditional Tibetan Bodhi Wood Mala Bracelet with Dorje Amulet
Total length: 66cm approx (wraps 3 or 4 times around the wrist). Size of the beads: 6mm in diameter (except the central bead which is 8mm). Material of the beads: Ficus Religiosa wood (except turquoise beads which are ceramic). Dorje amulet and silver hypoallergenic metal spacer beads.
Elastic, this bracelet adapts to the majority of male or female wrists, from about 15 to 19cm in circumference.
This elegant Tibetan mala consists of 108 fine wooden beads of Ficus Religiosa (called "Bodhi Tree") and has other typical characteristics of this spiritual jewel:
- The 108 beads in the mala are divided into 4 sections of 27 beads each, separated by turquoise beads called "markers". These markers help count the number of times a mantra is recited, which should be a multiple of 27.
- A small tassel of beads called a tassel is attached to the central bead (the Guru pearl), and represents universal compassion.
- Underneath the Guru bead is a small wooden cone, called a "cone of emptiness" and an amulet representing a Dorje, two major symbols of Tibetan Buddhism.
The mala is a meditation prop that has been used for centuries by Buddhists to recite mantras and cultivate mindfulness. Today, it transcends its traditional use to become a trendy piece of jewelry, subtly revealing your commitment to spirituality and the values of compassion.
Elastic, this mala easily wraps 3 or 4 times around the wrist for a comfortable and snug fit. It will accompany you in all circumstances and will easily harmonize with your style and personality.
Order him now and let his benevolent presence guide you on the path of inner balance and spiritual awakening.
The Bodhi Tree and the Dorje: Two Essential Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism
To fully understand the meaning and spiritual depth of this mala, it is essential to become familiar with two fundamental concepts of Tibetan Buddhism: the Bodhi Tree and the Dorje.
The Bodhi Tree occupies a central place in the Buddhist tradition. For it was under the branches of this sacred tree that Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment through meditation.
The Bodhi Tree has been identified as a Ficus Religiosa. Thus, the beads in this mala represent a deep connection to the very place where the Buddha attained enlightenment, infusing your meditation practice with mystical energy.
The patterns of concentric circles that the wood of Ficus Religiosa naturally presents evoke samsara, the eternal beginning in which all unawakened beings are caught.
The Dorje, also called Vajra in Sanskrit, is a powerful symbol in Tibetan Buddhism. It is the weapon of the god Indra, which allows us to cut the veil of illusions and thus access authentic enlightenment. It is often used in ritual practices and symbolizes both compassion and the strength of the enlightened mind.
This Tibetan mala will help you connect to an ancient lineage of wisdom and devotion that can be traced back to the teachings of the Buddha himself.
It will become a valuable tool in your quest for inner peace and wisdom, guiding you during each mantra recitation and meditation session towards a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you.
