Traditional mala bracelet made of 108 black varnished wooden beads

Total length: 54cm approx (wraps 3 times around the wrist). Pearl size: 6mm in diameter (except the central pearl which is 8mm). Bead material: varnished wood. Elastic, this bracelet adapts to most wrists from about 15 to 19cm in circumference.

This authentic Buddhist mala consists of 108 fine varnished wooden beads and a larger bead, called "Guru Pearl", decorated with golden Chinese calligraphy, which brings a touch of elegance to the whole.

Elastic, it easily wraps 3 times around your wrist for a comfortable and snug fit.

The mala is a meditation accessory that has been used for centuries by Buddhists to recite mantras and cultivate mindfulness.

Nowadays, it transcends its traditional use to become a trendy piece of jewelry, subtly revealing your commitment to spirituality and compassionate values.

This elegant and comfortable bracelet will accompany you in all circumstances and will easily harmonize with your style and personality. Order it now and let its benevolent presence guide you on the path of inner balance and spiritual awakening.

Why is the traditional mala made of 108 beads?

The number 108 occupies a central place in the Buddhist and Hindu traditions, as it symbolizes spiritual and cosmic perfection.

In Buddhism, it is associated with the 108 trials that Buddha overcame to attain enlightenment.

In Hinduism, it represents the 108 Upanishads, the sacred texts describing spiritual knowledge, but also the 108 deities of Hindu cosmology.

It is therefore for symbolic reasons that malas are usually composed of 108 beads. Practitioners use these beads by chipping them one by one to count the number of times they have repeated a mantra or prayer.

Most practitioners repeat each mantra 108 times!

Summary
Traditionally, the mala is an accessory that accompanies Buddhist and Hindu believers during their prayers.
