Tiki mask in wood of 50cm with colorful coconut pattern. Handmade hand carved and painted.
Dimensions: H50 x 14 x 7cm approximately. A fastener is present on the back to easily hang the mask.

Hawaii atmosphere at home with this authentic wooden tiki mask of artisanal origin. The coconut tree is the most widespread tree, but also the most revered in Polynesia where it is nicknamed "the tree of life" or "the tree of heaven".
The coconut tree: "the tree of life". Polynesian peoples nickname the coconut tree "the tree of life" or "the tree of heaven". They worship him as a god and depict him on many artistic creations like this Tiki mask. Indeed, the coconut tree gives them food (coconut), and drink (coconut water). But it also provides them with materials that will be used for everyday life: its wood for the manufacture of canoes and tools, the nut for kitchen utensils (bowls, cups), fibers and leaves for ceremonial costumes, and its oil so beneficial for the skin. For all these reasons and many more, the coconut tree is considered a gift from heaven by the Maori.
