Dimensions: height 150cm x width 105cm (including wings) x depth about 23cm / Base: about 23x23cm. Detachable wings for easy transport. Material: exotic wood from responsible sectors. Artisanal creation: slight differences in appearance are possible compared to the model photographed.
Also called "monumental pole" or "totem pole", this Native American totem is inspired by those made by the indigenous peoples of the northwest coast of the United States.
This rare and imposing piece, available in limited edition, has been entirely handcrafted by our partner craftsman. Observe the work of wood carving and painting. Many hours of work (and a lot of talent) are required to achieve such a result!
Why did the American Indians erect totem poles?
The totem pole is a traditional Native American monument that represents and honors the history of a heroic people, family or individual.
It displays the rights of the tribe to territories, and often refers to traditional songs or dances, and other aspects of the culture of the people who trained it (including hunted or revered animals).
The eagle is the animal most frequently depicted on these totems. It symbolizes wisdom, authority, power and courage.
The totem that we offer here is an artisanal creation that is inspired by the Amerindian heritage. Can I install this totem pole outdoors?
This totem is intended for interior decoration. But by respecting a few precautions, it is possible to expose it outdoors:
- First of all, the wood must be protected from moisture. To do this, completely cover the totem with water-repellent product, such as a high-protection lacquer (product available in all DIY stores). Do not forget the underside of the totem otherwise water will infiltrate it by capillarity. Renew this protection every 2 to 3 years if your totem pole is often exposed to rain.
- It must also be protected from the wind to prevent it from falling and breaking. One solution is to anchor it to the ground by screwing its base into concrete for example. In any case, prefer a place with little exposure to the wind.

Bien reçu expédition rapide et très bien emballer . j'ai enlevée 1 étoile car l'aile gauche de l'aigle ne tienne pas très bien , après tout va bien et c'est très beau et bon rapport qualité prix .
