Total dimensions: height 32cm x width 26cm (with wings) or 8cm (without wings) x depth about 10cm. Artisanal manufacture of wood from sustainably managed forests. Artisanal creation imported in compliance with the rules of fair trade. Some minor imperfections that do not alter the overall aesthetics of the object, and slight differences in appearance compared to the photographed model are possible. The wings of the totem pole are removable (they fit into the totem, without glue or tools).

Origin and meaning of the Indian totem

"Totem" is a word from the Obijwa dialect (an Algonquin language of North America) which means "clan" or "tribe". The totem, or totem pole, usually represents animals considered protective, and sometimes also faces of ancestors.

The totem pole is mainly used to claim possession of a territory, but it sometimes gives other cultural and religious information about the people who installed it.
