Apache's Tear: the stone of mourning and despair

Lot weight: 15 to 20g approximately. Dimensions of the stones: length 1 to 3cm on average. The stones that make up this lot are rough stones of varying weight and size. Each batch consists of 3 to 6 natural Apache tears (quality A, origin Mexico), for a total weight of between 15 and 20g approximately.

The stones are delivered in a fabric gift bag (random color), to be able to take them everywhere with you as an amulet, or offer them to a loved one ... The photo is offered as an indication: since it is natural stones, each batch is different, but always of the same quality!

Apache's teardrop is a variety of black obsidian, sometimes called smoked obsidian. Alternative medicine therapists mainly use it to help a person overcome the loss of a loved one or a very painful life ordeal.

History and expected benefits of the Apache Tear

Apache's tear takes its name from a 19th century Native American legend.

An Apache village was attacked by surprise by white soldiers. All the men in the village were killed. Only the grieving children and widows remained.

Legend has it that as they mourned their fallen husbands, the Great Spirit appeared and turned the widows' tears into black stones. He says that henceforth, these stones would symbolize mourning and despair. They took the name of Tears of Apache.

This legend has been transmitted from generation to generation and continues today in the Apache community but also among neighboring Native American peoples.

The Apaches say that the stones must first be exposed to the sun to awaken the widows' tears and their magic. It is then necessary to keep the stones close to you for several days, as a jewel or amulet, to gradually calm the distress and grief.

This belief has been taken up by enthusiasts for whom the Tear of Apache is the lithotherapy stone that accompanies mourners.
