What is Chevron Amethyst?

There are many amethyst deposits in the world, and not all of them produce exactly the same stones. What shapes the appearance of a crystal is its geological history, and this necessarily differs between one deposit and another. This is why some amethysts are light, others darker, and still others different...

The variations are so numerous that there is probably an amethyst for every shade of purple, from light Parma to eggplant!

Here we offer you a variety called chevron amethyst, or also amethyst "dog-toothed". It is characterized by the gradients of purple, gray and white tones that form streaks on the crystal, sometimes in the shape of a "V" or triangle, hence the qualifier "chevron".

These patterns and colors are due to a significant presence of rock crystal in its pure state in the material.

This combination of amethyst and rock crystal within the same stone also influences its energetic radiation. This is why some lithotherapy practitioners give a special status to chevron amethyst that would allow to work on both the 6th and 7th chakra with the same efficiency.
