For mineralogy and lithotherapy enthusiasts: Lapis Lazuli stones in the raw!

Assortment weight: 70 to 80g. Dimensions of the stones: 4 x 3 x 2cm on average (variable).

The stones that make up this assortment are rough stones of free shapes, of varying weights and sizes. Each assortment is composed of 1 to 3 beautiful stones in Lapis Lazuli 100% natural (origin Pakistan) for a total weight between 70 and 80g.

The stones are delivered in a satin gift bag, so that they can be taken everywhere with you, like an amulet; or offer them to a loved one...

The photo is offered as an indication: in the case of natural stones, each assortment is different.

Nicknamed "Stone of Friendship" by the great authors of lithotherapy, lapis lazuli would have the power to help, even the most introverted people, to create links with others.

This beautiful blue stone will also surprise you with its appearance: blue indicates the presence of azurite, white and gray that of calcite, and metallic chips are inclusions of pyrite.

Three anecdotes about lapis lazuli

  • In ancient times, lapis lazuli was often confused with sapphire. It is for this reason that Pliny the Elder nicknamed it "Sapphire with golden spots" because of the pyrite flakes that characterize it...
  • Towards the end of the Middle Ages, lapis lazuli was used to make the pigment used to make the "royal blue" color paint. The demand was such that prices suffered incredible inflation and the price of lapis lazuli exceeded that of gold!
  • Lapis lazuli has fascinated all peoples since the dawn of time: the Romans thought it was an aphrodisiac; The Egyptians granted him magical powers and believed that he kept the evil eye away; in Europe, medieval lords consumed it as an elixir to stay healthy...  And more recently, in 1984, Chile made lapis lazuli its national stone! Indeed, it is in this country that we find some of the most prolific mines in the world.

Lapis lazuli is the stone recommended for people who are too introverted, or lacking self-confidence. But did you know that some stones can help you get a better sleep? To learn more, check out our blog post on "The 5 Stones That Help You Sleep Better".
