Originally from Africa, the Karimba, Kalimba, Sanza or piano or guitar thumb produces a warm sound similar to that of the xylophone.
The sound box is half a coconut. The keys are metal slats that just slide to tune the instrument.
A musical instrument but also a decorative object, the carimba will delight in an exotic or tropical universe.
