This magnificent sphere of Manganocalcite from Pakistan has been polished by an experienced lapidary craftsman who has been able to highlight the natural beauty of the stone. He has achieved a very high-flying polishing: the spherical shape is perfect, and the nuances of textures and colors invite us to tirelessly contemplate the object from all angles!

A few words about Manganocalcite stone
Sometimes called Pink Calcite, Manganocalcite is a variety of calcite that also contains manganese, which gives it its pink hue.
Mineralogy enthusiasts appreciate its color - a lighter pink than that of Andean Opal or Rose Quartz - and its semi-opaque and pearlescent appearance that evokes shells. More surprising: Manganocalcite is fluorescent and therefore takes on a neon pink color when illuminated with a black light lamp.
