Bhumisparsha Mudra: a meaningful Buddha gesture
Buddha is represented here in a posture called "Bhumisparsha Mudra". Buddha sits in the lotus position and meditates. His left hand is placed on his crossed legs, at the height of the navel. His right hand is placed on his right knee and points towards the ground.
