An impressive 50cm high sculpture of the Laughing Buddha
Dimensions: height 50cm x width 46cm x depth 25m approximately. Weight: 14 to 17kg approximately. Material: Suar wood from forests managed by an environmental protection organization. Brown tinted wax finish. Slight differences in appearance are possible compared to the model pictured.
An exceptional wood carving, made by our best sculptor
This splendid statue depicts the Laughing Buddha or Happy Buddha, a famous character in Chinese and Japanese folklore. Budai, as it is known in China, is particularly popular with traders because it represents wealth and abundance.
This character is considered in China as a god of fortune, while in Japan he is one of the seven gods of happiness.
Focus on the wood of Suar
The suar wood used for this sculpture is a noble exotic wood with a very light blond/beige hue. The wood has been waxed here to obtain this pretty brown color.
All of our wood carvings are carved from suar wood from forests planted and managed by an environmental protection organization. No deforestation at Coco Papaya!
This statue is ideal for home décor. For outdoor exposure, which is possible but not recommended, precautions should be taken: in particular, the application of two coats of high-protection stain to protect the wood from bad weather.

Acheté pour l'anniversaire de madame. Cette statue est juste magnifique. Encore plus belle en vrai qu'en photo. L'emballage était parfait et l'expédition l'était tout autant.
