Statuettes of "The 3 Buddhas of wisdom" in resin finishing lacquered gloss black. Representation also called "the secret of happiness".

Dimensions : height 10 x width 9 x depth 8cm approximately (each figurine). Material : resin. Handcrafted.

Here is the famous Buddha laughing in a trilogy, decorative inspired by the "3 wise monkeys". There is the Buddha who "said nothing wrong", one who "does nothing wrong", and finally the one who "sees nothing wrong". According to a belief of the chinese, it does not happen that of the property which would comply with this maxim !

These 3 beautiful resin statues have been handmade in a small workshop that we have found in Asia. The lacquered finish gives them shine and modernity.

The character represented here is called Budaï (in China), or Hoteï (in Japan). It is often referred to as "chinese Buddha" or "Buddha within". In the asian tradition, it is regarded as a good luck charm. It embodies the ideals of a good life : health, happiness, prosperity, and longevity.

Budaï really existed (he would have died in 916) ! He is revered in Asia as it was a person joyful and generous. The legend tells that he put in his bag the broken toys that the children entrusted him, and then he reported repaired.
