All the authenticity of Asian craftsmanship in this Buddha statuette

Dimensions: height 20cm x width 18cm x depth 10cm approximately. Material: exotic wood (Suar) from forests managed by an environmental protection organization. Handcrafted creation imported in compliance with fair trade rules: each piece is unique.

Each statuette requires several hours of work

Wood carving is a difficult and demanding art that requires years of practice before successfully producing pieces of this quality. And even for an experienced sculptor, this statuette requires at least 3 to 4 hours of work.

It is the history of this object, shaped by the expert hands of a craftsman, that makes it a unique object. Find a place for it in your home and you will observe, year after year, that obsolescence is totally foreign to it. Every guest who enters your space will take a few moments to contemplate it and this will be the case tomorrow, in 10 years, and perhaps even more in 30 years.

In this age of all industriality, there are few objects that awaken this in us.

Buddha is depicted here in a seated posture called Atmanjali Mudra (or Anjali Mudra). This is the traditional posture of prayer and meditation, which is characterized by the 2 clasped hands stretched upwards. It is the same posture as the famous Namaste of the Yoga practitioners.
