Wooden carved seated ouddha: atrue masterpiece of 40cm high
Dimensions: Height 40 x Width 30 x Depth 14 cm approximately. Material: Suar wood (a noble exotic wood, taken from planted forests). Natural finish, clear wax. Handcrafted creation imported in compliance with fair trade rules: some differences in appearance are possible compared to the model photographed.
Buddha Teaching Spiritual Awakening to His Disciples
Buddha is depicted here seated in "Vitarka Mudra": the right hand is raised at chest level and the thumb forms a circle with the index finger, the other fingers being raised. This is the posture that Buddha adopted when he taught his disciples.
This posture therefore represents the sharing of knowledge and spiritual truths with others, as well as the expression of open-mindedness and compassion towards all beings.
Take a look at the details in the photos: this marvel has been entirely hand-carved by one of our partner craftsmen. An exceptional know-how that the Coco Papaya team is proud to promote.
The wood used is suar, a noble wood from Southeast Asia. It is offered here in a natural finish, simply protected by a layer of clear wax. This finish reveals the natural look of the wood, and in particular its contrasting colours ranging from light beige to brown. Très belle sculpture
Cette statue de bouddha est magnifique. Issue de l’artisanat, en bois respectueux de l'environnement, j’apprécie l’expression du visage, l’attention accordée aux détails, la douceur et la chaleur du bois...
