The intense blue of Lapis Lazuli, and the natural look of rolled stone beads

Length - 18cm (ideal for wrists of about 16 to 19.5cm). Pearl diameter - 8 to 10mm (about 20 beads).

Practical, this elastic bracelet fits most wrists, up to 19.5 or even 20cm of turn. It consists of about 20 pearls in natural Lapis Lazuli grade AB (Pakistan origin).

The beads that make up this bracelet are free-shaped (round or oval) rolled stones with variable diameters (approximately 8 to 10mm).

Its intense blue contrasts beautifully with the Jeans outfits. Its energies free speech, even in the most introverted people! This earned Lapis Lazuli the nickname"Peter of Friendship".

Lapis Lazuli more expensive than gold?!

Did you know that?

In antiquity and up to the Renaissance, Lapis Lazuli was more expensive than gold!

What for? Because this stone was the only resource to pigment oil paintings to give them the "king blue" color. This colour in particular was strictly indispensable to the great European painters to make portraits of the sovereigns, who always wore clothes of this color, to emphasize their noble origins.

All of Lapis Lazuli came from Afghanistan and Pakistan, resulting in huge transportation costs.

Today, the deposits of this region of the world are still the most prestigious. But Lapis Lazuli can now be found in other countries: the USA or Chile, for example.

Do you like Lapis Lazuli? Do you know the name of the fine stone that most resembles it? This is the Sodalite whose chemical composition is very close!
