Traditional Tibetan Mala bracelet with tassel and endless knot, in beige varnished wood

Total length: 54cm approx (wraps 3 times around the wrist). Size of the beads: 6mm in diameter (except the central bead which is 8mm). Material of the beads: varnished wood (except the 3 red resin marker beads).

Elastic, this bracelet adapts to the majority of male or female wrists, from about 15 to 19cm in circumference.

This elegant Buddhist mala consists of 108 fine varnished wooden beads, and has other typical characteristics of this spiritual jewel:

  • The 108 beads in the mala are divided into 4 sections of 27 beads each, separated by red beads called "markers". These markers help count the number of times a mantra is recited, which should be a multiple of 27.
  • A small tassel of beads called a tassel is attached to the central bead (the Guru pearl), and represents compassion, a founding value of Buddhism.
  • Underneath the Guru bead is a small wooden cone, called the "cone of emptiness". A major symbol of Buddhism that invites us to cultivate humility and wisdom throughout our lives.
  • Then, the endless knot, symbol of the interdependence and unity of all things in this world, is also depicted on this mala, further reinforcing its spiritual significance.

The mala is a meditation prop that has been used for centuries by Buddhists to recite mantras and cultivate mindfulness. Today, it transcends its traditional use to become a trendy piece of jewelry, subtly revealing your commitment to spirituality and the values of compassion.

Elastic, this mala easily wraps 3 times around the wrist for a comfortable and snug fit. It will accompany you in all circumstances and will easily harmonize with your style and personality.

Order him now and let his benevolent presence guide you on the path of inner balance and spiritual awakening.

Buddha and the mala

According to legend, Shakyamuni Buddha was meditating deeply under the Bodhi tree when he was assailed by the dark forces of evil who sought to distract him from his meditation.

In a gesture of compassion, the god Brahma offered a mala to the Buddha to help him concentrate and fend off distractions.

Through the use of this mala, the Buddha was able to continue his meditation undisturbed, and eventually attain enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.

Since then, the mala has become an essential tool in the practice of Buddhist meditation, helping practitioners focus and cultivate mindfulness while reciting mantras, or counting their breaths.
