How to make an altar?

At Coco Papaya, we imagine very well this round shelf turning into a meditation altar! As you have probably noticed, Buddha, Ganesh or Shiva are very present in our online store! And the 4 trays of this shelf can each accommodate an element in order to make it an altar worthy of the name!
For those who have no idea how to do it, here are the basic elements that are often found in altars:
  • a representation of the 4 elements: for the Earth element you can put a terracotta pot or wood. The Water element will be represented by a vial of water or shells. For the Fire element, place a candle or incense. As for the Air element, you can symbolize it with a feather.
  • a representation of your spiritual guide: Buddha, Ganesh, Shiva?

Here's a simple example to do: take Palo Santo or White Sage for the Earth element, which you can place in an abalone shell for the Water element. The fumigation pen (for the Air element) will allow you to purify your room when you burn the Palo Santo or Sage. Add a few incense cones for the Fire element. Finally, it's up to you to choose the divinity that suits you best!
