The Three Monkeys of Wisdom or "The Secret of Happiness"
Dimensions: height 7cm x width 19cm x depth 5cm approx. (the 3 monkeys are carved from the same piece of wood). Material: suar wood from forests planted and managed by an environmental protection organization, colorless wax finish. Handcrafted creation imported in compliance with fair trade rules. Slight differences in appearance and color are possible compared to the model pictured, testifying to the authenticity of each piece.
A beautiful handcrafted object, carrying a deep spiritual message
Succumb to the charm of craftsmanship and adopt this elegant statuette representing the famous 3 monkeys of wisdom, each of which covers a different part of its face. The first hides the ears, the second the eyes, and the third the mouth.
They form a kind of pictorial maxim: "I hear nothing, I see nothing, and I say nothing wrong." According to legend, to whom this saying would follow, only good would happen. This depiction is also sometimes referred to as "the secret of happiness".

The first monkey, which covers its eyes, symbolizes the importance of not being swayed by the deceptive appearances and illusions of the physical world. It invites us to look beyond appearances, to seek the truth and to cultivate wisdom.

The third monkey, who covers his mouth, illustrates the importance of not saying hurtful or malicious words, which can cause harm to others and yourself. He reminds us that it is always better to speak with gentleness and respect, to cultivate benevolence and kindness towards others.
This common interpretation of the three wisdom monkeys teaches us that happiness is based on wisdom, compassion, and kindness. By adopting these attitudes, we can cultivate inner peace, joy, and harmony in our lives, but also contribute to the well-being and happiness of those around us.
