Here is a particularly original musical instrument that perfectly reproduces the sound of thunder.

Consisting of a cylindrical sound box and a spring, this percussion is very easy to use: steer the spring down, shake the cylinder, and by blows pull on the spring. The effect is striking!

Originally from Indonesia, this instrument is called Halilintar (thunder in Indonesian). The musicians call it Spring Drum or Drum of Thunder.

Originally 100% artisanal and fair, it is decorated with a nice hand-painted motif (technical "dot painting"). The colors and pattern may vary from the image.
