Trilogy of statuettes of buddhist monks in solid bronze, in a performance called "the secret of happiness".

Dimensions : height 10 x 8 x 6cm approximately (each figurine). Weight = 1,15 Kg (approx for all). Material : solid bronze.

A superb trilogy discovered at an artisan foundry very talented !

Inspired by the "3 wise monkeys", a symbol of chinese origin consisting of 3 primates are each covering a different part of the face (the eyes, ears and mouth), these statuettes form a sort of maxim pictorial : "I see nothing, I hear nothing and I say nothing". Who would follow this maxim, it does not happen that of the property. This is why we call this representation "the secret of happiness" or sometimes "the secret of eternal love".
