How to use an abalone/abalone shell during sage fumigation?

The abalone shell also called abalone shell is a wonder of nature. On the outside, it has the same appearance as stone, while inside you find beautiful iridescent reflections of bluish mother-of-pearl.

The natural abalone shell is traditionally used in shamanic rituals to make fumigation. All the indigenous nations of North America burn as incense sage, cedar, sweetgrass and juniper to purify the atmosphere in a place, around an object, or the energy of a person.

Instructions for use:

• Light the end of the bundle with a match or lighter.
• Let it burn for 2 to 3 seconds and then blow on the flame to extinguish it.
• Once the flame is extinguished, smoke emanates and diffuses the sweet scent of sage into your room.
• Let the bundle burn gently in the shell where the ashes will settle. This combustion must always be done under the supervision of an adult, and in a suitably ventilated room.
• When the combustion is finished, check that all the embers are extinguished, for example, by filling the container with water.
