Often confused with the leaves of the coconut palm with those of the banana plant. Those that have been used to manufacture this lamp come from the coconut palm ! They are called husks. They are part of the inflorescence of the tree. Once dried, they become as hard as wood, and allow for a multitude of craft creations such as this lamp.
