Bali's pareo or wall hanging

Dimensions: about 160x110cm - fringed finishes on 2 widths

Material: 100% viscose (silver sequin embroidery decoration). This plant-based material has properties similar to that of cotton, but is softer and lighter.

Maintenance: Washing at 30 degrees. Machine drying possible (delicate program) but not recommended to preserve the life of fabric and sequins.

This beautiful fabric made called Sarong or Batik was handcrafted on the island of Bali (Indonesia). It can be used in different ways: as clothing(beach pareo, scarf or stole), as a wall hanging or as a decorative textile (throwing sofa, top of bed...).

Its orange and fuchsia pattern on a grey background is very cheerful and bright. We fall in love with the untimely mandala motif.

Deco or pareo?

The sarong, sometimes called batik (it is the different manufacturing technique), is a traditional Indonesian garment that is also found in West Africa (sometimes with other appellations such as "boubou"). Westerners most often use it as a beach pareo because it preserves the intimacy of the body while being very light and comfortable, but some prefer to wear it as a scarf, or as a stole...

It is also commonly used as a wall hanging or as a decorative textile to dress an armchair or meridian for example.
