Beautiful statue hand carved wood, representing Buddha in meditation. A true masterpiece of wood sculpture !

Dimensions : H30 x L25 x P14 cm approx. Material : wood Suar from forests that are managed by an organization for the protection of the environment, raw finish.

Buddhist culture contains various mudra (position codified of the hands and the posture of the Buddha). Each Mudra has a specific meaning, because it is in fact the union between the body, the spirit and the voice of the Buddha. Here is a Buddha sitting in the lotus position and posture so-called "Vitarka Mûdra", the Mûdra of Teaching and Argumentation : the right hand is raised at chest level and the thumb with the index a circle, the other fingers being raised.
