Handcrafted carved solid wood tiki in Indonesia
Dimensions: 21 x 7.5 x 7.5cm approximately. Material: exotic wood (Suar) from forests planted and managed by an environmental protection organization. Artisanal creation: slight differences in appearance are possible compared to the model photographed.
This authentic Tiki totem,a work carved from a single piece of wood, depicts Ku,the Maori god of war.
Heis the only Maori god for whom human sacrifices have been made. With his broad shoulders, wide open mouth and menacing look, Ku is the deity with the most dominant character.
This totem can be exposed inside, or outside (after applying a lacquer to protect the wood).
