A true masterpiece of craftsmanship with an impressive length of 1 meter, this statue was carved directly from a single piece of suar, a noble exotic wood from renewable sources (forests planted as part of reforestation projects).
With its keen eye and dynamic posture, this terrifying monitor lizard appears to be on the move, ready to pounce on its prey or give battle to an invasive fellow creature.
This unique piece is the work of a renowned Balinese master sculptor with whom we have been working in mutual respect since 2012. The realism is such that the sculpture seems to capture the wild energy that emanates from the animal.

Our tips for the maintenance of your Komodo Dragon sculpture
- This imposing sculpture is planned to be exhibited indoors. Outdoor use is possible, but poses more risks to its integrity. If you want to display this impressive Komodo Dragon outdoors, the prior application of a water repellent and anchoring to the ground are highly recommended to preserve its beauty.
- Avoid displaying the statue near a heat source. And, during the first few weeks, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight as well. The heat dries the wood deeply and can cause cracks to appear. After about 2 to 3 weeks, the wood will have acclimatized and will no longer work.
- For maintenance, regular dusting is sufficient. For this, you can use a feather duster or a slightly damp microfiber cloth, for example.
- If you want to give the wood a little shine , use a furniture oil or wax. These products are available in all DIY stores. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions. But be careful: this sculpture is made of raw wood, so if you apply a wax or oil to it, it will definitely change its appearance, its colors and the feel of the wood.
