Our tips for caring for your Crocodile sculpture
- This imposing sculpture is designed for indoor display. Outdoor use is possible, but presents greater risks to its integrity. If you wish to display this impressive Crocodile outdoors, the prior application of a water repellent and anchoring to the ground are strongly recommended to preserve its beauty.
- Avoid displaying the statue near sources of heat. And, for the first few weeks, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight. Heat dries the wood thoroughly and can cause cracks to appear. After around 2-3 weeks, the wood will have acclimatized and will no longer work.
- For maintenance, regular dusting is all you need. For this, you can use a feather duster or a slightly damp microfiber cloth, for example.
- If you'd like to add a little shine to the wood, use a furniture oil or wax. These products are available from any DIY store. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. But be careful: this sculpture is made of untreated wood, so if you apply a wax or an oil to it, it will definitely alter its appearance, its colors and the feel of the wood.
