Stunning hand-carved superimposed chimpanzees

This symbol of Asian origin is composed of 3 monkeys, each of which covers a different part of the face. The first eyes, the second the mouth and the third the ears. They form a kind of pictorial maxim: "Do not see anything, hear nothing, say nothing". To the one who would follow this maxim it would only happen good.
They are also said to represent the secret of eternal love.

Singes sagesse
Les miens ne sont pas très sages : le 1er a les mains sur la tête et non sur les oreilles, le 2eme il se couvre bien les yeux, et le 3eme se tient le menton au lieu de cacher sa bouche. Mais la statue est très bien faite, et donc originale par son imperfection, donc je la garde.
