3 sorrow boxes - Wooden sorrow-eating ladybugs

Set of 3 grief boxes, also known as grief eaters.

• Dimensions: box = 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.5cm / insect = 2 x 1.5cm approx.
• Hand-crafted: some imperfections and differences in appearance from the photographed model are possible, testifying to the authenticity of the object.

These little wooden boxes, known as"grief boxes","insect boxes" or"grief eaters", contain a handcrafted ladybug (with moving legs!). They come from India, where they have a special significance.

They're a gift for children and adults alike, to help them find solace in whatever is troubling or upsetting them.

As a gift, the child is invited to open the box, tell the little beast of his sorrows, then close it and put it under his pillow. During the night, the little beast will eat the sorrow and make it disappear.
