Tribal Statuette of a Couple in Petrified Wood: An Allegory of the Couple

These two slender figures made of petrified wood come from the island of Timor, in Indonesia. They embody the ancestral tribal art of this island, with their minimalist, almost primitive aesthetic, where every detail expresses a symbolic vision of the world.
