For your scented candles, forget kerosene: soy wax is so much better!
🌱 All Mistral des Sens candles are made with natural, environmentally-friendly French soy vegetable wax.
Here's why:
- No kerosene or petrochemical derivatives: Unlike mineral waxes like kerosene, soy plant wax doesn't release toxic or polluting substances when burned. Better for you, your family and everyone who comes to say hello!
- Burns more slowly and evenly: As well as being less polluting, soy plant wax offers ideal properties for making scented candles. As a result, your candle lasts longer and releases its fragrance more consistently.
- Biodegradable and renewable: Unlike kerosene wax, soy plant wax is totally biodegradable. So it's an eco-responsible alternative that respects our beautiful planet.
- Easy to clean: If wax spills, a simple wipe with soap and hot water is all it takes to remove it. Kerosene, on the other hand, is much harder to remove.
Compare prices and you'll see that Mistral des Sens scented candles are no more expensive than those of the big brands that still use kerosene. So why deprive yourself of such an advantage?
To enjoy your "Mistral des Sens" candles for as long as possible, here are some recommendations…
- Always ensure that the wick remains straight and does not exceed 8mm. If it is too long, it may create unnecessary soot emissions and bend to one side, causing uneven melting of the candle. This would reduce burning time, and if the wick tilts to one side, it could heat the glass and break it. Ideally, trim and center the wick before each use if needed.
- During the first few uses of your "Mistral des Sens" candle, it is best to blow it out. Once the wick gets shorter, use the lid to smother the flame and prevent smoke from spreading.
- When only a few millimeters of solid wax remain at the bottom of the container, it is unfortunately time to part with your candle. If the part under the wick holder becomes liquid, the wick may detach and fall against the glass wall. This could heat the glass and potentially break it. If the wick is short because you followed the first recommendation, you can let it burn a little longer, but always under adult supervision.
- Once the candle is finished, pour some boiling water inside the container and clean it before recycling. Any remaining wax residues and the wick holder are not recyclable.

All Mistral des Sens candles are made with French soy wax and cotton wicks also from France. The perfumes come from Grasse, the world capital of perfumery. This exemplary composition guarantees you "Premium" quality candles that last a long time.
