This musical instrument of African origin, known as the lamellophone, goes by many other names, depending on the country it comes from. Most often, it's called Kalimba, Karimba, Sanza, Mbira, Thumb piano or Thumb guitar. We're delighted to offer you this particularly original model in the shape of a turtle!
The sound box is half a coconut, and the keys are metal strips that you simply slide to tune the instrument. As well as being a beautiful decorative object, this musical instrument produces a warm, xylophone-like sound. It is played by activating the blades with the thumbs and forefingers.
This downgraded model is sold at a discounted price due to a defect: visible traces of oxidation (rust) on the metal slats. This defect is purely aesthetic and does not affect the instrument's solidity or sound quality. Don't delay: stocks are limited!

For do-it-yourselfers, it's easy to get rid of the rust on the slats, which are removable. Simply dismantle them, sand them down, repaint them with anti-rust paint, then reassemble them. Once you've done this, your instrument will be as good as new!
