This superb statue has been entirely hand-carved from a single piece of suar wood, a noble Asian wood. Weighing over 4kg, it requires an increasingly rare level of craftsmanship.

Imported by us from Bali (Indonesia), this work was created by a renowned master sculptor, with whom we have been collaborating since 2003 in a spirit of mutual respect and fair trade.

The Liberator Yogi is depicted in a curled-up, fetal-like posture, with knees bent to the chest and head held in the hands. Depending on the culture and region, he is sometimes known by other names, such as the Weeping Yogi, the Liberator Buddha or the Weeping Buddha.
