Agate is a variety of quartz belonging to the chalcedony family. It is distinguished by the concentric circles that decorate its surface. There are many different-coloured varieties of agate.

Amazonite takes its name from the Amazon River in South America, where it was first discovered. It can have a variety of hues and reflections, from green to beige to blue, with some areas translucent and others opaque.

There are several varieties of aventurine in different colours, the most famous and widespread of which is green aventurine. Green aventurine takes its name from the Murano aventurine glass, because of its resemblance to it, but also because like it, it was discovered by chance.

Specialists regard it as an ideal stone for starting out in lithotherapy, because its energy is gentle and accessible to everyone.

A stone of joy and creativity, citrine takes its name from the lemon, from which it has borrowed its colour!

Despite its yellow colour, citrine is chemically very similar to amethyst, but it is quite rare in its natural state. A crystal similar in every way to citrine can be obtained by heating amethyst to over 500°C. It is then called "heated citrine".

Carnelian's original colour is orange-red. There are also less sought-after green and yellow varieties. The blue varieties are not true carnelian but are generally tinted agates.

Rock crystal is the name given to the pure, translucent part of quartz. It is the most widely distributed mineral on earth, and is also the queen stone of lithotherapy, a discipline that attributes great power to it.

Its transparency, more or less dotted with inclusions, gives it a great elegance that lends itself ideally to the manufacture of jewellery and a variety of objects.

Always semi-transparent and luminescent, fluorite comes in a multitude of colours, except black. The most common varieties are green and violet. Most of the time, a single fluorite crystal has several colours arranged in layers. We will concentrate here on this variety, known as "multicoloured fluorite".

Howlite stone takes its name from the Canadian chemist Henry How, who discovered it in Nova Scotia (Canada) in the 19th century.

It is an opaque white stone with grey lines, reminiscent of marble. Porous, howlite can be easily tinted while retaining its virtues. In particular, you can find a lot of jewellery in blue howlite, which imitates turquoise perfectly, for a much lower price.

Jasper is a single-crystal quartz found in abundance in many parts of the world. Always opaque and satin-like, jasper comes in a multitude of colours!

Discovered in Labrador (Canada), this stone, recognisable among a thousand, is often nicknamed the "carer's stone" or "doctor's stone" because it is a precious ally for carers.

There are several varieties, in white, blue, green, gold and grey. Some of its varieties are sometimes called spectrolite or larvikite.

Iridescent, it has a magnificent bluish metallic sheen (except for the golden variety).

There are several varieties of moonstone, each with its own colour and appearance. The most common and sought-after variety is white, with slightly iridescent reflections when exposed to light. Another variety, called "adularia moonstone" or "peach moonstone", is distinguished by its beige/orange colour. Be careful not to confuse moonstone with opalite (a synthetic stone with bluish reflections), or white labradorite (more iridescent).

There are several varieties of rhodonite, all of which share the colour pink. The variations are in the dendritic inclusions (striations), which are most often black, but sometimes also grey or beige.
