Very large handcrafted wood carving depicting Buddha seated in meditation posture
- Dimensions: height 80cm x width 50cm x depth 25cm approx. Weight : 20Kg approximately.
- Material : solid suar wood with a dark oak waxed finish (wood from forests managed by an environmental protection organization).
- Handcrafted wood carving imported in accordance with fair trade rules: slight differences in appearance are possible compared to the model photographed.
This magnificent Buddha statue is the work of our best woodcarver, who is a renowned artist from the island of Bali (Indonesia).
It required many hours of work and is distinguished by an impeccable level of finish, rare for pieces of this size.
The face, the hands, the bun, the Buddha Kesa... Every detail has been sculpted with incredible precision. This statue is so beautiful that it emanates a sense of harmony and inner peace, proof that the sculptor who made it is gifted with exceptional artistic talent.
It is a real collector's item that you will enjoy contemplating every day and that will surprise your guests.
Buddha is represented here as Vitarka Mudra. The ends of the thumb and index finger touch each other to form a circle. The right hand is held in front of the torso, while the left rests on the legs. This is the posture that Buddha took when he taught the doctrine to his disciples. The circles formed by the fingers represent an infinite flow of energy.
An exceptional piece for an exceptional décor. Such a statue practically decorates an entire room on its own! Give it a special place in your décor.
Garden decoration : you can place this statue as an outdoor decoration by following a few instructions. The statue should be placed sheltered from the wind, and if possible in a fairly shaded area. Its base should be placed on a hard surface (not directly in the ground or on the grass). Finally, before exhibiting it outdoors, the statue must be protected by applying at least 2 coats of colorless high-protection stain, to be renewed every 2 to 3 years.

Very nice and perfect delivery
I bought that statue as a present. Shipment to Spain was fast and safe. The Budha was very much appreciated and found a prominent place. Good quality and perfect service.
