Traditional Tibetan Mala bracelet with tassel and endless knot, made of black varnished wood

Total length: 54cm approx (wraps 3 times around the wrist). Size of the beads: 6mm in diameter (except the central bead which is 8mm). Material of the beads: varnished wood (except the 3 red resin marker beads).

Elastic, this bracelet adapts to the majority of male or female wrists, from about 15 to 19cm in circumference.

This elegant Tibetan mala consists of 108 fine varnished wooden beads, and has other typical characteristics of this spiritual jewel:

  • The 108 beads in the mala are divided into 4 sections of 27 beads each, separated by red beads called "markers". These markers help count the number of times a mantra is recited, which should be a multiple of 27.
  • A small tassel of beads called a tassel is attached to the central bead (the Guru pearl), and represents compassion, a founding value of Buddhism.
  • Underneath the Guru bead is a small wooden cone, called the "cone of emptiness". A major symbol of Buddhism that invites us to cultivate humility and wisdom throughout our lives.
  • Then, the endless knot, symbol of the interdependence and unity of all things in this world, is also depicted on this mala, further reinforcing its spiritual significance.

The mala is a meditation prop that has been used for centuries by Buddhists to recite mantras and cultivate mindfulness. Today, it transcends its traditional use to become a trendy piece of jewelry, subtly revealing your commitment to spirituality and the values of compassion.

Elastic, this mala easily wraps 3 times around the wrist for a comfortable and snug fit. It will accompany you in all circumstances and will easily harmonize with your style and personality.

Order him now and let his benevolent presence guide you on the path of inner balance and spiritual awakening.

How to recite the Mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" with a mala?

For novices who want to dive into the practice of meditation with a mala, the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" is a great place to start.

This mantra is a powerful meditation tool from Tibetan Buddhism. It is universally recognized for its calming effects on the mind, and for its compassionate virtues.

First, let's familiarize ourselves with the mantra itself. "Om Mani Padme Hum" is a Sanskrit phrase that can be translated in a variety of ways, but is usually interpreted as "Let's celebrate the jewel in the lotus." Each syllable of the mantra has its own deep meaning, but in summary, it evokes universal compassion and purification of the mind.

Now, let's move on to the practice of reciting with a mala. The mala is traditionally made up of 108 beads, which will help you count the repetitions of the mantra. First, take the mala in your dominant hand and start by holding the first bead between your thumb and middle finger.

Starting with the pearl right next to the guru pearl (the largest pearl), mentally or out loud recite the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" while gently moving your thumb to the next pearl. Continue this process until you have recited the mantra on each bead of the mala, and using each bead as a counter to memorize the number of repetitions already performed.

According to Tibetan tradition, you must recite the mantra 108 times! But if you don't have time, you may prefer a multiple of 108 and therefore recite the mantra only 27 times or 54 times. To do this, the red beads of the mala will serve as easy-to-spot markers.

If you finally get to the guru pearl, then you have completed a complete round of the mala and therefore recited the mantra 108 times. Congratulations!

You can now take a moment to take a deep breath and feel the calming effects of your meditation.
