Lapis Lazuli
Lapis Lazuli in Lithotherapy
Easily recognizable by its deep blue sparse with white (calcite inclusions) and metallic (pyrite inclusions) glitters, lapis lazuli stone has fascinated humanity since the dawn of time. The Egyptians used it to decorate religious objects or the funerary masks of the pharaohs. The Romans considered it a powerful aphrodisiac. In the Middle Ages, lapis lazuli powder was the only pigment used to prepare blue paint (the royal color), and its price exceeded that of gold!
Nowadays, lapis lazuli is one of the most prized stones by lithotherapy enthusiasts, who give it rare virtues.
Much of the lapis lazuli available on the market is made up of stones dyed with their original pigment (lapis lazuli powder) or with lazurite. Indeed, lapis lazuli stones with a uniform blue color are quite rare and therefore more expensive. Coco Papaya offers you the 2 versions to suit all budgets. How to purify and recharge lapis lazuli stone?
Lapis lazuli is a fragile stone, which requires a lot of care. It should not be left in prolonged contact with water or salt.
To clean and purify your jewelry or various lapis lazuli objects, we recommend that you leave them for a few seconds under a stream of warm water, then dry them immediately. We do not recommend wearing lapis lazuli jewelry at night or in the shower.
To recharge lapis lazuli, place it for a few hours on a pile of rock crystal or amethyst. If you don't have this, opt for moonlight because sunlight tends to discolor it.
