Amazonite
Amazonite in Lithotherapy
Amazonite takes its name from the Amazon River in South America, where it was first discovered. It can have various reflections and shades ranging from green to blue, beige, with some areas translucent and others opaque.
Increasingly used in jewelry, it has the particularity of being able to be polished in 2 ways, each of which gives it a different look:
- in a matt finish, the stone takes on a very original "frosted" appearance;
- In a satin finish, the stone is shinier and becomes soft to the touch.
Virtues and benefits of amazonite.
Amazonite is a joyful, stress-relieving stone. It awakens spontaneity and joie de vivre, and helps us to serenely appreciate the present moment. It is also said to have the power to protect us from electromagnetic waves such as those emitted by mobile phones.
How to purify and recharge the amazonite stone?
To purify your amazonite stones or jewelry, simply immerse them for a few hours in water (ideally demineralized) and then wipe them with a clean cloth.
To recharge them with energy, expose them to sunlight for 2 to 3 hours. Amazonite can also recharge when placed on the rock crystal.
Purify and recharge your amazonites about 3-4 times a year, or if you've left them in a drawer or out of the dark for a long time.
